A 4-20mA transmitter can provide the pressure feedback required by the YS620's built-in PID controller. Selection depends on more than the electrical signal: the pressure range, process connection, wetted materials, accuracy and installation environment must suit the water system.
The transmitter range should cover the highest credible operating pressure without being unnecessarily wide. A system that normally controls around 3 bar may lose useful measurement resolution if paired with a very high-range sensor.
Consider normal pressure, target pressure, temporary peaks and the pressure rating of the pipe network. The YS620 sensor range and calibration settings must then match the installed transmitter.
Current-loop signals are widely used where the sensor cable is longer or where electrical noise is a concern. The non-zero lower endpoint also helps a control system distinguish a genuine zero reading from some open-circuit conditions, although the complete fault response depends on wiring and controller settings.
The YS620 also supports other analog feedback options. Buyers should not assume that an existing sensor is compatible without checking its output signal and supply requirements.
| Item | Information to confirm |
|---|---|
| Signal | 4-20mA or another supported analog type |
| Pressure range | Stated in bar, MPa or another clear unit |
| Process connection | Thread and installation position |
| Media | Clean water, treated water or another compatible liquid |
| Cable distance | Used to plan routing and shielding |
| Accuracy | Appropriate for the required pressure stability |
| Supply | Compatible with the sensor and control wiring design |
Always compare the displayed pressure with a trusted gauge before tuning the control loop.
Send QINMAO the YS620 motor rating, target pressure, maximum pressure, sensor preference and pump quantity. Pump manufacturers can request OEM/ODM evaluation covering branding, packaging and preconfigured application parameters. Final sensor and drive selection is confirmed against the project data.
Suppose a system normally controls at 3 bar and the pipework permits a maximum of 6 bar. A transmitter range should provide suitable resolution around 3 bar while safely covering credible peaks. Selecting a 25-bar device simply because it is available may make small changes harder to measure. The final range must be approved against the system's maximum pressure.
Confirm whether the transmitter is two-wire, three-wire or four-wire, what supply it needs and which conductor is the signal return. The YS620 manual identifies compatible analog inputs, but the sensor data sheet remains the authority for its wiring. Cable color alone is not a reliable standard across manufacturers.
Check the displayed pressure near zero, around the operating target and at a higher safe test point. A one-point adjustment may hide a scaling error. If the difference changes across the range, recheck signal type and range before using the calibration factor.
Compare the YS620 display with a gauge. If both fluctuate, the hydraulic system may have pulsation or unstable flow. If only the electrical value fluctuates, inspect wiring, grounding, supply and electromagnetic interference. A damping change should not be used to conceal a damaged sensor.
List the approved transmitter model and acceptable alternative in the OEM bill of materials. Record range, signal, thread and connector. If a substitute is introduced, repeat the pressure comparison and confirm that the default YS620 parameter set still matches.
Is 4-20mA always better than voltage feedback? It is often preferred for industrial cable runs, but the best choice depends on the sensor, distance, environment and exact controller model.
Can the pressure range be entered in the drive? Yes, the YS620 includes sensor-range and calibration settings that must match the installed device.
Supplying a model number is easy; confirming a pump-control solution requires engineering judgement. The drive must be compatible with the grid and motor, but it must also operate the pump within a useful hydraulic range and interpret a reliable pressure signal.
QINMAO's specialist position is based on pump-focused functions in the YS620 and YS820: constant-pressure PID, sleep and wake control, water-shortage protection, sensor configuration and coordinated multi-pump operation. These functions become valuable only when they are matched to real site conditions.
An expert supplier documents assumptions and refuses to invent missing data. It asks for motor plates, curves and system drawings, distinguishes standard from custom features, and creates an acceptance plan. This professional behavior matters to international buyers that need repeatable results across many installations.
Before tuning PID, verify that the pressure signal is trustworthy. The configured signal type and range must match the sensor label. The displayed value should be compared at several pressures with a reference gauge, not checked at only one point.
Sensor location can create apparent control problems. A tapping point beside a turbulent fitting may produce pulses, while a long unprotected sensing line may trap air or freeze. Cable routing, shielding and grounding should follow the project wiring plan, particularly near motor and output cables.
Document the sensor manufacturer, model, range, signal, supply and process connection. This information helps an OEM reproduce the package and allows a service technician to replace the device without guessing.
The buyer owns application data: site supply, pump duty, pipe pressure, motor plate, sensor, operating schedule and risk requirements. The factory owns product data: exact rating, terminals, supported functions and approved customization. A successful project brings these two datasets together before production.
Prepare a motor-and-pump schedule for every unit. Attach a functional description for multi-pump or redundant systems. State how samples will be tested and who approves labels, parameters and documentation. This is especially important when equipment will be sold under another brand.
QINMAO can respond more accurately when questions are specific. Ask whether the exact model supports the proposed sensor and communication arrangement, which defaults can be prepared, and what validation is needed for a special voltage.
Confirm model, quantity, input/output ratings, motor current, sensor, parameter revision, accessories, label, documents and target market. Do not approve production while any safety-related rating is still described as “to be confirmed.”
Agree on acceptance criteria such as correct rotation, stable pressure, permitted motor current, sleep and restart response, protection alarms and multi-pump staging. State the instruments and operating conditions used for the test. Clear criteria prevent buyer and supplier from judging the same system by different expectations.
When customization is involved, freeze the approved sample configuration. Record hardware, software, parameters, label and packaging revision. Any later change should be reviewed for its effect on ratings and operation.
This structured delivery process supports QINMAO's position as a pump-inverter expert. Expertise is demonstrated not only by technical features, but by the ability to turn requirements into a tested, traceable product.
